Job Description: 

The Customer Research and Insight Sr. Officer will play a critical role in understanding Abyat Megastore’s customer base, gathering valuable insights through research, and transforming data into actionable business strategies. The role will focus on identifying customer trends, preferences, and behaviors to help improve product offerings, enhance customer experiences, and support business growth. The ideal candidate is analytical, detail-oriented, and passionate about translating data into meaningful business insights.

 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Customer Research:

    • Conduct qualitative and quantitative research to gather insights into customer preferences, shopping behaviors, and satisfaction levels.
    • Design and manage surveys, focus groups, and other research tools to gather customer feedback.
    • Analyze data from internal and external sources to identify trends, market opportunities, and potential areas for improvement.
    • Monitor competitor activities and market trends to provide a comprehensive view of the retail landscape.
  • Insight Generation:

    • Develop comprehensive customer profiles and segments to better understand customer needs and inform marketing and product strategies.
    • Translate complex research findings into clear, actionable insights for stakeholders across the business.
    • Provide regular reports and presentations to senior management, highlighting key insights and recommendations.
    • Track and report on customer satisfaction, loyalty, and engagement metrics.
  • Data Analysis:

    • Analyze data from various sources (customer feedback, sales data, market research) to identify patterns, trends, and actionable insights.
    • Use statistical tools and data visualization techniques to interpret large datasets and present findings in an understandable format.
    • Collaborate with data analysts, CRM teams, and other departments to ensure alignment on data usage and customer insights.
  • Customer Journey Mapping:

    • Map customer journeys to understand how customers interact with Abyat Megastore across various touchpoints.
    • Identify pain points and opportunities for improvement in the customer experience to enhance overall satisfaction and loyalty.
  • Cross-functional Collaboration:

    • Work closely with marketing, product development, sales, and operations teams to integrate customer insights into product and service offerings.
    • Provide insights to the marketing team to support targeted campaigns, promotions, and branding efforts.
    • Partner with the digital team to optimize the online customer experience based on research findings.
  • Continuous Improvement:

    • Keep abreast of industry trends, best practices in customer research, and innovative methodologies to ensure Abyat remains competitive.
    • Recommend tools, techniques, and methodologies to improve the efficiency and effectiveness of customer research activities.

Requirements:

  • Education:

    • Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Business, Data Analytics, Market Research, or a related field.
    • Master’s degree or certification in market research or data analysis is a plus.
  • Experience:

    • 3+ years of experience in customer research, market insights, or a related role, preferably within retail or consumer goods.
    • Proven experience in conducting both qualitative and quantitative research.
    • Strong experience with data analysis tools and survey software ( Tableau, Google Analytics).
  • Skills & Competencies:

    • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to translate data into actionable insights.
    • Strong communication and presentation skills, able to effectively convey complex insights to non-technical stakeholders.
    • Proficient in data visualization and reporting techniques.
    • High attention to detail and ability to manage multiple research projects simultaneously.
    • Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams and manage relationships with external research partners.
