As a Warehouse Controller at ABYAT, you'll play a pivotal role in controlling and coordinating daily warehouse operations, ensuring accurate inventory management, efficient receiving, storage, picking, and distribution activities through effective use of WMS, adherence to operational procedures, and supervision of warehouse staff to maintain productivity, accuracy, and safety standards.
Key Responsibilities:
- Control warehouse stages and monitor/update the WMS system.
- Create Transfer Orders (TOs) for the processes under his responsibility.
- Ensure system transactions reflect actual warehouse movements.
- Control and supervise daily receiving and distribution activities.
- Ensure goods are received, processed, and distributed according to operational procedures.
- Oversee warehouse activities and validate them against operational checklists.
- Conduct random inspections across warehouse zones to ensure compliance with processes.
- Apply, coordinate, and enforce optimal operational policies and procedures.
- Ensure agreed warehouse processes are applied efficiently.
- Direct activities to maintain stock and bin accuracy.
- Conduct housekeeping for available stocks.
- Perform daily stock counts according to the inventory calendar.
- Apply procedures and strategies to reduce handling damages and inventory losses.
- Monitor replacement orders and risky articles to minimize errors or losses.
- Monitor the picking process to ensure efficiency and minimal movement.
- Ensure orders are picked according to optimal workflow and warehouse layout.
- Ensure the team is using the handheld devices to ensure the auto picking process is fulfilled.
- Instruct the team on the optimal stacking methodology for new assortments.
- Ensure proper space utilization and safe storage practices.
- Assign warehouse zones to team members and define responsibilities.
- Distribute workload among team members and communicate expectations clearly.
- Motivate, organize, and encourage teamwork within the workforce.
- Coach team members to improve efficiency and compliance with processes.
- Measure and report team performance.
- Monitor and report warehouse productivity.
- Ensure operations are optimized to maximize warehouse efficiency.
- Ensure staged materials (inbound and outbound) are cleared within the defined SLA in accordance with company policies.
- Monitor the status of warehouse equipment.
- Report equipment conditions and raise maintenance requests when required.
Qualifications:
- 3–5 years of experience in warehouse operations, inventory control, or logistics.
- Experience with Warehouse Management Systems (WMS) and warehouse processes (receiving, storage, picking, and distribution).
- Ability to coordinate warehouse teams and ensure adherence to operational procedures.
- Knowledge of inventory accuracy, stock counting, and loss prevention practices.
- Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, Logistics, Business Administration, or a related field is a plus but not mandatory.
