Position: Payroll & Fixed Asset Accountant
Location: Riyadh – Head Office

Reports to: Payroll & Fixed Asset Team Leader
Type: Full-time
Role Purpose
As a Payroll & Fixed Asset Accountant at ABYAT, you will play a key role in ensuring the accuracy and compliance of payroll processing and fixed asset accounting functions. You will be responsible for managing payroll for a large employee base, maintaining the fixed asset register, ensuring proper capitalization and depreciation, and supporting financial reporting and audit processes. Your attention to detail and analytical skills will directly contribute to ABYAT’s operational efficiency and financial integrity.
Job Description
Payroll Management

Process monthly payroll accurately and on time for all employees.

Validate attendance, deductions, benefits, and allowances.

Ensure compliance with local labor laws, taxation, and social security requirements.

Prepare and reconcile payroll reports and journal entries.

Collaborate with HR and Finance to resolve discrepancies and ensure data accuracy.
Fixed Asset Accounting

Maintain and update the fixed asset register, recording acquisitions, disposals, and transfers.

Calculate and reconcile depreciation according to company policies.

Conduct periodic physical verification of assets and coordinate tagging.

Support internal and external audits related to fixed assets.
Financial Reporting & Analysis

Support monthly and year-end closing processes.

Prepare and analyze payroll and fixed asset reports for management review.

Ensure reconciliation between sub-ledgers and the general ledger.

Assist in financial analysis and prepare ad-hoc reports as required.
Systems & Process Improvement

Work effectively with ERP systems (SAP or Oracle).

Contribute to process automation and continuous improvement initiatives.

Maintain data integrity and ensure compliance with internal controls.
Qualifications
-
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.

4–5 years of experience in accounting, preferably handling payroll and fixed assets in organizations with over 1,000 employees.

Strong understanding of payroll laws, taxation, and accounting standards.

Proficiency in ERP systems (SAP or Oracle preferred).

Advanced analytical and reporting skills with excellent attention to detail.

Strong organizational and time management skills.

Professional certifications such as CPA or CMA are an advantage.

Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and familiarity with financial reporting tools.

Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
